When I search through all my past “lovers” and present, I can’t find the true fit, the “perfect” love, the one. None of them can compete with God’s Love. God’s perfect love. I yearn for this perfect love, but I know it doesn’t exist. But God exists, and He is more than enough Love for me.

These lyrics (the three lines in bold) came into my head one night when I really needed to hear them, when I was away from God and only occupied with the things of this world...God spoke in a whisper to my heart through Hermana Glenda's song lyrics...I hadn't heard this song in a long time, so it was strange to hear these words in my mind...but God knows I needed to hear them...

Lonely no more

Dear Jesus,

Here in my loneliness, I resign myself to You. I resign myself from wanting so much, from wanting parties, and a boyfriend, and outings. I resign myself from wanting better clothes, better things, a car, a bigger house. I want to not want anything. Just God, just You, and the moment. The moment that is all you give to me.

Here in my loneliness, I am no longer pressured with sadness as I think about You. You are the secret to not having this sadness that seems to suffocate. I only turn to You and all is gone. It is only You and I. The stars and the universe. Lonely stars not lonely any longer with the light from Your hand. You form them, you make them, you caress them like no other. In God's hands

I was just listening to Nelly Furtado's song called "In God's hands" i can relate to this song very much. about a year ago, a boyfriend i loved very much left me, our relationship had lasted almost a year, when he decided not to be with me anymore. i was left with an unbearable pain in my heart. i can totally relate to this song's lyrics. but in my case, in all the parts where it says "we", it should really say
"he"

Flipping through my Women of Faith Devotional Bible again, i came across this perfect quote: "Only God coming into your life can heal your soul from some of the wounds and brokenness you've had." --Barbara Johnson

This quote comes to me as a confirmation that God is healing me or is going to heal me of any wounds i may have left in my heart and soul. i thank God for this Bible, for these words from this wise woman, for this blog.

A girl after God's own heart

I didn't know what i was going to title this blog. i asked God for the perfect name, so i opened my Bible and there was this quote from 1 Samuel 13:14: "The LORD has sought for Himself a man after His own heart...." i hope to write new poems for God, new journal entries about my journey with Him; that this blog will give Glory to Him is what i aim for. to deepen my love for Him.
